Welcome to MVGIE Studios

This is our first post. If you have ended up here from a search, a Steam wishlist, or a friend’s link — hello.

MVGIE Studios (pronounced moo-ghee) is a small indie game studio. We make narrative-driven games and write openly about how we do it. We believe that video games can carry real emotional weight, and that the industry around them is easier to navigate when people are honest about what works and what does not.

What we are working on

Our first title in development is Stand Up — a narrative life sim about an up-and-coming stand-up comedian. You can read more about it on the Stand Up page. We will be writing devlogs here as the game comes together.

What this blog is for

A few things:

• Devlogs — what we are building, what we tried that did not work, and what we figured out.
• Studio notes — how we run the studio, the tools we use, and the small decisions that add up.
• Industry pieces — things we have learned about getting a game in front of people, mostly so other small teams do not have to learn them the hard way.

We will not be posting every week. We will post when we have something worth saying.
